Tree: All Trees Gilbert Others  

After taking DNA tests, it would appear that I may not be descended from a Gilbert line at all.

There are strong connections to a Ker line, but as yet, I have been unable to positively identify any relationships.

I am watching and waiting for any DNA connections which may help, but so far, nothing concrete.

Having added my full tree to Ancestry (private), I am now looking at their 'hints'. Some are useful, but many are way off the mark.

October, so far, has been spent reviewing citations, primarily birth citations, so very little new data.

November, following some more hints from Ancestry.

December, I received an e-mail from an Ancestry member suggesting that I had confused some Gilbert families. On further investigation, I agreed, and the result was the transfer of 89 people from the 'Others' tree to the 'Gilbert' tree. This took some time because the citation quality of those in the 'Others' tree does not meet my standards for those in the 'Gilbert' tree, so they all had to be investigated and re-cited.
